Headless chicken and onions

Name the headless chicken who suggested on December 21 that onions should be out of chicken do-pyaza at least for the next three weeks....prices came down in a day... one more proof that corrupt to the core UPA Government is clueless on how the country runs-they are hell bent on ruining it, instead of running it. But we need Pawars, otherwise how would Sachin score 50th 100....Do we need such governments???

26/11:no need to remember those who lost their lives!!!!

26/11: no need to remember those who lost their lives!!!!!!!!

I waited for November 27, 2010 to see the newspapers!! May be they have forgotten to put ads to remember those who became victims of the biggest terror attack on India two years ago……May be some people died on 27th and some on 28th …….that’s why they may not have put ads on 26/11 but would put on 27/11, I thought…..but even on 27th, no one gave an ad in newspapers… I have to wait and see tomorrow’s newspapers to see if they-the Government bothers to remember these people on November 28th.

I thought, may be they could have used this opportunity to say that how tough the Government is now against terror…in steeling internal security….in its rock solid stance in foreign policy….in negotiating with US…..in putting pressure on Pakistan….Well, even this pseudo remembrance publicising Government achievements could have been done, as they do when they remember politicians….

Or may be they could just have used this opportunity to highlight how Government is taking steps to support the victim families, paying for their kid’s education, providing them lifelong medical cover, if needed… or providing help in any other way that might be needed. Petrol pumps…there was an ad by a public sector body in newspapers mentioning 17 security personnel’s sacrifice and how victim families are being given a petrol pump…but rest…whose responsibility????? Who rest??????

Yes, some people died, so what?? They were citizen, not leaders…so the leaders would talk of protecting the citizen and the nation from future terror attacks on this day. But why waste public money in remembering public??? It is the prerogative of the political class, not the mass….It is for the people in power, for politicians…..why think of or keep track of how the lives of those affected by these terror attacks are moving…..do they need money, some other support….but who are they….ordinary citizen….who cares and why should one care…. Government has other ads to plan!!

Exactly a week ago, on November 19th, papers were all full with ads remembering Indira Gandhi and to acknowledge how her vision is still guiding India?? Three weeks before that on October 31st papers again remembered Indira on her martyrdom…all on public money by various ministries…..The taxpayer’s money which the citizen-I and you pay. For those who read The Times of India, on November 19th the newspaper published a moving picture of a Delhi building collapse victim on top of page 2. The bottom half carried a tribute to Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary….pages after pages one ministry to another ministry had paid such tributes on public money. I kept the turning the pages seeing Indira all over and wondered had the Government not indulged into this misuse but spent the same money to rebuild the lives of the building collapse victims at least, even Indira’s soul must have smiled.

The government may have resource crunch in meeting its obligation (?)- to provide drinking water, guarantee food, basic needs of the underprivileged citizen, but has always enough funds for such abuse of public money….Media also keeps mum. After all, they also get huge money out of it…they wait for such anniversaries. So, such media ….so called fourth pillar, champion of citizen’s causes will not see or sense any story in this..

Is the loss of life of a political leader different from that of a citizen?? Is blood of a political leader different from that of a citizen who elect them to power…give them the mandate to run governments by taxing us…Does the leaders’ lives need to be remembered on public money but not remember the public????

It is a tribute or an abuse???? Will somebody, those who advocate public interest, make it a point to fight against such abuse, if it is??? Will it stop?? When??????????????????????????????????

Bihar's 2G: Good Governance

Bihar shows the way: Discarding the 2G(Ghotala and Ghapala) of Congress & UPA, NDA has shown which 2G spectrum needs to be expanded in the nation...it is GOOD GOVERNANCE. Will congress read the message that all their campaigning in Bihar has gone in drain??? People want 2G of Good Governance not the 2G of Congress!!
